Let's get real about style. As we navigate the ins and outs of life and getting that little bit older each year, our wardrobes can often start to feel stuck in a bit of a time warp.

For some this might be desperately clinging to outdated trends, or on the other hand you might find yourself playing it too safe and losing a sense of your fashion identity.
The truth is, your style should be a reflection of who you are right now, no matter your age. And you should always be able to feel confident and radiant.

The style challenges we all share

In my experience in fashion and styling, it has become very apparent that many of us hit a fashion crossroads somewhere around age 35 to 40. Suddenly some of your favourite pieces feel... well, kind of wrong. You find yourself questioning the length of a skirt, the cut of a dress, the fall of your shirt. It may be that it doesn't quite fit the way it used to. Frankly, the struggle is real. How do you refresh your look without feeling like you're trying too hard? And all the while continue to feel like you.

Nailing style transitions with confidence

I've worked with so many women who have experienced this style shift, so if you are in the thick of it, rest assured you're not alone. And, let me also assure you that we can get through this and have you feeling better than ever (even when you're trying to get ready to go out!) The best thing to do is to book a Personal Styling Session so I can tailor these tips specifically for you. But in the meantime, these tips will help you kick off your style revolution.

Fit is your new best friend

We aren't going to squeeze into things that don't respect our bodies anymore. We're embracing impeccably fitting pieces, and we don't care what size is on the tag!
A perfectly tailored blazer, well-cut denim, or a wrap dress that celebrates your shape. These are the building blocks of timeless style that will celebrate your shape.

Textures over trends

Forget chasing every fleeting fashion moment, especially clingy fabrics that highlight lumps and bumps. You're better than that. Texture isn't just about looking good but feeling good too. We want structured knits with weight and substance, and natural fabrics with gentle drape. Materials that skim your body rather than suction-cup themselves to it.

Dress like you

As our style matures, I think it should become less about following trends and more about expressing our unique story.
A statement pair of eyewear, a beautifully crafted leather tote, or a signature piece of jewellery can instantly transform a simple outfit. Think quality over quantity, and invest in pieces that are versatile, well-made, and speak to your personal aesthetic.
